The Venue

Everyone who walks through our doors for the first time always says the same thing; It’s so BIG!!! Now, we’re not bragging, but we are BIG!

Built in 1952 as Lynhurst Bowl. You’ll either think we were an airplane hangar or a bowling alley. I can assure you; there is no airplane in the building. But we still maintain our former bowling lanes as the largest dance floor in the Midwest. Lots of dancing along with lots of friend making has happened on this dance floor.

After Lynhurst Bowl closed the building was converted into the legendary Little Bit of Texas and Nationally known for country line dancing. There was even a television show filmed here during that time. The business was then sold to In Cahoots and was operated for 18 months.

In 1999 8 Seconds Saloon was opened to the public with it’s massive dance floor intact. A separation wall was added near the back of the room and another 500 seat bar was opened to entertain a smaller more diverse crowd.

Since that time 8 Seconds has become the GO TO venue and bar for all the latest music stars, along with patrons from all over the united states. Next time you stop by we’ll show you around. Check out our wall of fame in the newly remodeled back bar called MarX. Be sure to grab an ice cold draft while you’re at it.
